Abstract
Parc Imstenrade is a housing facility for senior citizens in Heerlen. The past few years a demanddriven approach was implemented in the organization. Leni Beukema (advisor) and Christa Kleijnen (manager) were strongly involved in this implementation and they report on their experiences and findings. They use the term ‘demand-driven’ in a very specific meaning: residents of Parc Imstenrade are not considered as demanding’ clients, but as individuals with their own specific needs and possibilities. Implementing such a demand-driven approach has consequences for all layers in the organization. Every layer is discussed by the authors and in doing that, they formulate valuable themes that had to be dealt with during the implementation.
